Abstrak
The focus of the research is the effectiveness of the extension assistance strategy in improving farmer welfare with the aim of determining the effectiveness of the extension assistance strategy in improving farmer welfare in Marannu Village, Mattiro Bulu District, Pinrang Regency. The type of research is qualitative descriptive, the subjects of the research are the heads of farmer groups in Marannu Village, Mattiro Bulu District, Pinrang Regency. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, documentation. Equipped with data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, conclusions and data verification. The results of the study showed a lack of extension workers so that field officers were unable to overcome various problems faced, the lack of knowledge possessed by extension workers and the lack of participation of farmer group members.
