THE IMPACT OF PART-TIME WORK ON STUDENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Part-time work has become a common phenomenon among college students as an opportunity to gain work experience and be financially independent. However, the impact of part-time work on student academic achievement is still a growing debate. This study aims to determine the impact of part-time work on students' academic achievement by using literature review.

The results showed that students who worked part-time had a lower level of academic achievement compared to students who did not work part-time. There are several factors such as time spent at work, less effective time management, and physical fatigue can be major contributors to this negative impact. This discovery provides valuable insight for the parties involved in managing student education and workforce policies. As the number of students choosing to work part-time increases, there is a need for a holistic approach that considers the balance between work and study, in order for students to achieve their academic potential optimally

INCREASING INTEREST IN READING IN COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT EFFORTS AT THE MABBACA LIBRARY, WATANG BACUKIKI VILLAGE, PAREPARE CITY

This research aims to determine and analyze the empowerment of the Mabbaca Library in increasing the reading interest of the people of Watang Bacukiki Village, Parepare City using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the research are that the Mabbaca library is a community learning resource center in Watang Bacukiki Village as well as an educational forum to support the reading interest of people around the sub-district. Community empowerment through the reading library can create prosperity for both individuals and families. The Mabbaca Library Service in Watang Bacukiki Village can support reading activities, namely the service is free, open and fosters enthusiasm for reading from an early age. The importance of sub-district libraries in educating and empowering the community and supporting the implementation of national education needs to be developed as a learning resource for the community.

COMMUNICATION PATTERNS FOR ISLAMIC GUIDANCE MARRIAGE COUNSELING, MINISTRY OF RELIGION, PAREPARE CITY

Communication patterns are processes designed to represent the reality of the elements covered and their continuity, in order to facilitate systematic and logical thinking. This research uses a case study research method based on the phenomenon of extension activities currently occurring in Indonesia, or more specifically the communication patterns of Islamic Guidance Counselors of the Ministry of Islamic Religion of Parepare City. The results of the research show that the communication pattern in the marriage counseling of Islamic Guidance of the Ministry of Religion of Parepare City is a secondary communication pattern which provides information directly to prospective brides and grooms who register at KUA as well as school children such as high school students.

People's Perception of River Development In Cora Hamlet, Padaelo Village, Pinrang District

This study aims to explore and analyze people's perception of the river development process in Hamlet Cora Padaelo Village, Mattiro Bulu Subdistrict of Pinrang Regency. Research methods used include surveys, insights, and data analysis to understand views of needs, as well as community reactions to river development projects.

Focus of the research is to understand the extent to which the role of community participation in the planning and implementation of such projects and the resulting social, economic, and environmental impacts can provide better insights for stakeholders in planning river development in the region, taking into account the aspirations and views of the community more comprehensively.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NON-CASH FOOD AID PROGRAM IN THE WATANG BACUKIKI VILLAGE

Hak memperoleh pangan merupakan hak mendasar manusia sesuai Pasal 27 Ayat 2 UUD 1945. Salah satu program yang diinisiasi pemerintah untuk membantu meringankan beban masyarakat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok adalah Program Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT). Fokus utama BPNT untuk membentuk sistem perlindungan sosial dan memberdayakan masyarakat miskin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui implementasi BPNT di Kelurahan Watang Bacukiki. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) komunikasi memainkan peran krusial dalam keberhasilan pelaksanaan BPNT di Kelurahan Watang Bacukiki; 2) sumber daya yang cukup dan efektif adalah faktor kunci dalam mendukung pelaksanaan Program BPNT; 3) penyaluran BPNT di Kelurahan Watang Bacukiki didukung berbagai pihak.
