Abstract
This study examines the Salafi-based da'wah movement at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School through the practice of studying classical Islamic texts and the sorogan and bandongan methods as the core of the learning system. This tradition forms the foundation for the transmission of classical Islamic knowledge and shapes the character of students to be knowledgeable, moral, and ready to preach. The results of the study show that these methods play a strategic role in building moderate Islamic da'wah, instilling the values of wasathiyah, tasamuh, and tawazun, and making the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School a center of cultural da'wah that is adaptive to the changing times and a preserver of classical Islamic heritage.
