Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to improve English vocabulary skills through the use of video learning media for students at MA Lil- Banat Parepare.
Data collection methods are observation, tests, and field notes. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive.
The results showed that there was an increase in the English vocabulary skills of MA Lil- Banat Parepare after the use of learning video media.
This is indicated by the percentage of students who have achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria in the performance test in the pre-cycle as much as 31.03%, increasing
in Cycle 1 to 65.51%, and increasing again in Cycle 2 to 75.86%. These results are supported by observations that record student interest, activity, and understanding in
cycle 1 by 76.56%, increasing in cycle 2 to 78.90%. The four aspects of student pronunciation, namely fluency (fluency), accuracy (accuracy), intonation (intonation),
and stressing (emphasis) increased after 2 cycles of action.
