الملخص
Indonesia is a pluralistic country with diversity of ethnicities, cultures and religions. From this plurality, it is necessary to understand tolerance according to the existing differences. Likewise with the education system which is the main supply of understanding and tolerance. Religious understanding and tolerance must be instilled in children from an early age and in today's children or it can be called the millennial generation, character education based on moderate Islam is needed from early childhood for the formation of thought patterns and the way they perceive differences from one another, understanding religious moderation.
It must start from the family environment or family members,moderation religious starts at an early age, various environmental sensitivities start from daily habits because the main goal of religious education is to produce human beings who have mature human personalities intellectually, spiritually and emotionally. Early childhood is indeed quite vulnerable, because it needs to be balanced with religious information that contains values of tolerance. The role of students in the midst of society is very important in instilling an understanding of religious moderation from the most basic things so that children at an early age in the future do not occur disintegration.
