Abstract

This article aims to understand the application of financial management, specifically cash management, from an Islamic perspective. The type of writing used is a literature review with a descriptive format. The sources are drawn from various related materials such as books and journals. Based on the research findings, cash management involves the efficient and effective management of cash inflows and outflows. It encompasses planning, monitoring, controlling, and managing risks associated with cash. Techniques and instruments in cash management may include payment policy formulation, receivables management, inventory management, cash flow planning, liquidity management, and cash investment management. In the context of Islamic finance, the principles of Islam that prohibit riba (interest), speculation, and forbidden transactions must be applied in cash management. Effective cash management can help Islamic financial institutions maintain adequate liquidity, reduce financial risk, and achieve short-term and long-term financial goals. Awareness of the importance of good cash management in Islamic financial institutions is increasing, and the role of financial managers in managing cash is becoming increasingly strategic for achieving long-term financial success.
