This research aims to find factors that influence the lack of Arabic language skills and how to overcome this problem. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method to find the causes of the lack of Arabic language skills at the Al-Risalah Batetangnga Islamic Boarding School, Polewali Mandar Regency. This research instrument uses qualitative data collected based on the results of interviews with students, teachers and related parties.This research aims to analyze the factors influencing the limited proficiency in Arabic language at Al-Risalah Batetangnga Islamic Boarding School for Boys. Using a qualitative approach, data were gathered from students, teachers, and direct observations of the learning system. Findings indicate that a meaning-focused learning system, vocabulary limitations, and insufficient speaking practice are major impediments. Therefore, improvement recommendations include diversifying teaching methods, reinforcing vocabulary exercises, integrating speaking practice activities, and developing an Arabic language-friendly environments.
