الملخص

Vocabulary acquisition is a fundamental component of Arabic language learning, yet traditional methods often fail to sustain students’ motivation and retention. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Mondly Arabic application in vocabulary learning through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data were collected from journal articles, conference proceedings, and indexed publications (Google Scholar, DOAJ, Sinta) published between 2020 and 2025. Literature selection followed PRISMA guidelines with inclusion criteria on relevance, Arabic learning context, and indexed sources. Thematic analysis revealed that Mondly Arabic incorporates gamification, spaced repetition, contextual learning, and multisensory approaches, which effectively improve learners’ motivation, engagement, and vocabulary retention across proficiency levels. Nevertheless, limited access to premium features and difficulties for absolute beginners remain challenges. This study concludes that Mondly Arabic is an effective supplementary tool for vocabulary acquisition and recommends its integration into formal curricula with teacher involvement. Future research should adopt quantitative or mixed methods to empirically measure its impact on overall Arabic proficiency.
