Al-Hukamaa: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam is a scientific journal published by the Postgraduate Program in Islamic Family Law at IAIN Parepare. This journal focuses on publishing research articles in the fields of Islamic family law, gender studies from an Islamic legal perspective, and Islamic civil law. The title al-ḥukamāʾ (الحكماء), which means “the wise ones” or “the judges.” This name reflects the journal’s commitment to promoting wisdom, justice, and scholarly depth in addressing contemporary issues in Islamic law, particularly those related to family, gender, and civil society. Through an academic approach grounded in Islamic values, Al-Hukamaa serves as a platform for critical and constructive discourse in the study of Islamic law. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December, and accepts manuscripts in Indonesian, Arabic, and English from scholars, researchers, postgraduate students, and Islamic legal practitioners.
