Plagiarism Notice

Al‑Syamail Journal, soon to be international academic publication, requires all authors to uphold the highest standards of scholarly integrity, particularly regarding plagiarism.

  1. What Constitutes Plagiarism
Plagiarism occurs when an author uses another person’s ideas, data, or exact wording without proper acknowledgment. Even unintentional copying is considered a serious breach of academic ethics and is unacceptable in international publications.

  2. When to Cite Sources

    • Specific Information: Any time you reference details such as names, dates, places, statistics, or other unique data drawn from a particular source, you must provide a formal citation. The only exception is information that qualifies as common knowledge (for example, widely reported facts available in five or more independent sources, such as “China is the second world’s largest populated country”).

    • Ideas and Interpretations: If you build on or adopt an idea, interpretation, methodology, or conclusion originally presented by another author, even if you then expand or modify it, you still need to cite the original source before presenting your own elaboration.

  3. Quoting Text
Whenever you reproduce four or more consecutive words from a source, you must enclose that text in quotation marks and include a citation. A citation alone is not sufficient to indicate that the exact wording belongs to someone else.

  4. Enforcement and Screening
The editorial board of Al‑Syamail Journal takes academic integrity very seriously. We reserve the right to withdraw any manuscript that violates these plagiarism policies. All submissions will be screened for plagiarism using tools such as Turnitin prior to editorial review.
