Banco: Jurnal Manajemen dan Perbankan Syariah is a peer reviewed open access academic journal published by the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Institut Agama Islam Negeri IAIN Parepare, Indonesia. The journal is published biannually in May and November and serves as a scholarly forum for researchers practitioners and policymakers in the field of Islamic banking and financial management.

Focus and Scope

Banco publishes original empirical research theoretical studies and comparative analyses that examine Islamic banking and financial management from the perspectives of Islamic law fiqh muamalat and maqasid al shariah. The journal emphasizes research addressing sustainability inclusivity ethical governance and institutional resilience in Sharia based financial systems. Its scope includes Islamic banking regulation and governance banking management and innovation Islamic social finance fintech and digital transformation as well as education and human capital development in Islamic finance institutions.

Open Access Policy

Banco is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide immediately upon publication without subscription or payment. Users are permitted to read download copy distribute print search or link to the full texts of the articles provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors and source.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their published work. All articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License CC BY 4.0 which permits unrestricted use distribution and reproduction in any medium including commercial use provided that the original author and source are properly cited.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double blind peer review process involving at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on academic merit originality relevance to the journal’s scope and reviewers’ recommendations.

Sponsorship and Funding

Banco is published and fully supported by the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business Institut Agama Islam Negeri IAIN Parepare Indonesia. The journal does not receive sponsorship from commercial entities and editorial decisions are not influenced by advertising or other financial interests.

Journal History

Banco: Jurnal Manajemen dan Perbankan Syariah was established as an academic platform to support the development of research in Islamic banking and Sharia based financial management particularly within the context of emerging economies and Muslim majority societies.

Archiving Policy

Banco uses the Open Journal Systems platform developed by the Public Knowledge Project and participates in the PKP Preservation Network PKP PN to ensure long term digital preservation of published content. Authors are also permitted to self archive their published articles in institutional repositories or personal websites with proper acknowledgment of the original publication.
