OPTIMIZATION OF LOWITA BEACH MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Optimal management of Lowita Beach can increase the flow of tourist visits. Several problems in the development of Lowita Beach tourism. First, waste management is not optimal, second, supporting facilities are inadequate, third, related to the application of sharia principles in the Lowita Beach area. So this study aims to determine the form of management at Lowita Beach which includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and review of sharia tourism towards optimizing management at Lowita Beach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research that describes the situation at Lowita Beach. The types of primary and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews, documentation studies, and from reading sources. The focus of this study is on optimizing the management of Lowita Beach as a tourist destination in Suppa District, Pinrang Regency, which is reviewed from the perspective of sharia tourism. The results of the study Optimizing the management of Lowita Beach show 1) The planning of Lowita Beach management has planned several things in destination development including: Improving facilities and infrastructure, adding rides, and cleaning the environment. Intended to develop and make improvements in order to increase tourist visits to Lowita Beach. 2) The management of Lowita Beach has implemented various efforts, programs, and policies in developing tourist destinations in Lowita Beach. Namely the construction and development of infrastructure, promotion, improving environmental quality, and developing Human Resources. 3) Evaluation conducted by the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports of Pinrang Regency. Waste management is a major problem in developing tourist destinations in Lowita Beach. 4) From the review of Sharia Tourism related to the principles of developing sharia tourism in Lowita Beach, it has fulfilled several principles so that Lowita Beach can be used as a tourism with a sharia concept in the future with various improvements, because the development of sharia tourism destinations requires readiness of human resources and requires seriousness and concentration, as well as optimal support from various parties.
