Retraction Policy

At Shi’ar: Sharia Tourism Research, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and reliability of the scholarly record. We follow rigorous editorial and publishing standards, and in the rare case of a retraction, we ensure transparency and compliance with ethical guidelines.

Retraction Criteria

A published article may be retracted under the following circumstances:

  1. Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected in the article, the article will be retracted immediately.

  2. Fabricated Data: If there is evidence that the data or results presented in the article have been fabricated, the article will be retracted.

  3. Serious Errors: If significant errors are found in the article that affect its scientific validity, and the author(s) are unable to correct the issues or agree to withdraw the article, the manuscript will be retracted.

  4. Violation of Ethical Standards: If an article violates ethical standards, such as improper citation or unethical research practices, it may be retracted.

Process for Retraction

If any of the above conditions apply, the following process will be followed:

  1. The editorial team will conduct a thorough investigation of the issue.

  2. The author(s) will be notified and given the opportunity to respond or resolve the issue.

  3. If the article is found to require retraction, it will be officially retracted, and a notice will be posted on the article’s webpage explaining the reason for the retraction.

Open Access and Retraction

As Shi’ar: Sharia Tourism Research follows a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), retracted articles will remain available online with clear retraction notices. This ensures that readers are fully informed about the retracted status of the article. The original authors’ rights to their work are retained, but the integrity of the scholarly record is preserved through the retraction notice.

The retracted article will include a clear indication of its status, including the retraction notice, but the original publication remains accessible for historical record and transparency.
