Author Guidelines

Author Guidlines JURNAL SULTAN: Riset Hukum Tata Negara is a guide that has been used since this journal was published, namely in 2022. This journal is a scientific journal in the field of constitutional law published by the Constitutional Law Study Program, Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Law, Parepare State Islamic Institute. Published constitutional law articles are only articles that follow the Writing Guidelines for authors prescribed by the JURNAL SULTAN. All articles submitted by the author and published in this journal go through  a double-blind peer review process  in a structured manner and according to the proper procedure.

 

The purpose of this journal is as a means for students, academics, researchers, and practitioners to publish original research articles or review articles. The scope published in this journal discusses various topics of constitutional law, including:

  1. State Administrative Law;
  2. Constitutional Law;
  3. Local Government Law;
  4. Village Government Law;
  5. State Financial Law;
  6. Election Law;
  7. Environmental Law;
  8. Labor Law; and
  9. State Law.

Review Policy. All articles submitted to JURNAL SULTAN: Riset Hukum Tata Negara through a review process, namely the Editorial Team and the Reviewers team, both internal reviewers and external reviewers who understand the substance and are in accordance with the scientific competence of the submitted article. After going through the review process, the editor will confirm to the author related to the acceptance, rejection, or revision of the article for publication.

 

Publication Policy. Publication of JURNAL SULTAN: Riset Hukum Tata Negara based on open access journal which is a publication policy so that research results and thoughts can be accessed openly in the context of disseminating science and can also be a consideration for the government in the framework of legal policies in the field of constitutional law for the benefit of society.

 

Article Format Terms. Articles submitted for publication include at least 4000 (four thousand) words and a maximum  of 6000 (six thousand) words excluding footnotes and references. The font used in the JURNAL SULTAN writing guide is the Calibri Light font, spacing 1. 11 pt.

 

The format of the article consists of:

  1. Title (in Indonesian and English)

Indonesian Title: Title of the article in Indonesian. This title should be informative, concise, and grab the reader's attention. The title should reflect the main content of the research.

English Title: Translation of article titles into English. English titles must be accurate and equivalent in meaning to Indonesian titles.

The title is the first impression of your article on the reader. A good title will make it easier for readers to quickly understand your research topic and decide if they are interested in reading further. Providing titles in two languages (Indonesian and English) aims to reach a wider audience.

 

  1. Abstract (in English and Indonesian)

English Abstract: A brief summary of the entire content of the article in English. Abstracts typically consist of 150-250 words (depending on journal guidelines). The abstract should include:

  • A brief background or context of the research.
  • Research objectives.
  • The research method
  • Main results of the study.
  • Brief conclusions and key implications of the findings.

Indonesian Abstract: An English to Indonesian abstract translation. Indonesian abstracts must be accurate and equivalent in meaning to English abstracts.

An abstract is a concise representation of the entire article. Readers often read the abstract first to determine the relevance of the article to their interests. A good abstract should stand on its own and provide a clear picture of what is being researched and what is being discovered. Providing abstracts in two languages makes it easier for readers from different language backgrounds to understand the core of your research.

 

  1. Introduction

The introduction section serves to establish the context of the  research and direct the reader to the research question. Typically, this section includes:

  • Background of the problem: Explain the issue or phenomenon that is the basis of the research. It should be relevant and grab the reader's attention.
  • Brief literature review: Summarizes previous research relevant to your topic. It demonstrates your understanding of the field and identifies gaps or unresolved issues.
  • Problem formulation: Clearly state the research problem you want to answer.
  • Research objective: Outline what you want to achieve through this research.
  • Research significance (optional): Explain why the research is important and what contribution it makes to knowledge or practice.

The introduction should be able to convince the reader that your research is relevant and important. This section should flow logically from the background of the problem, through a review of the literature, to the formulation of a clear problem and research objectives.

 

  1. Method

The research methods section explains how the research was conducted. This section should be written in detail  and clearly so that other researchers can replicate your research. Typically, this section includes:

  • Research design: The type of research used (e.g., experimental, survey, qualitative, quantitative, mixed).
  • Research subject or participant: Who or what the research focuses on (e.g., population and sample, participant characteristics).
  • Research instruments: Tools or techniques used to collect data (e.g., questionnaires, interviews, observations, measuring tools).
  • Data collection procedure: The steps taken in collecting data.
  • Data analysis techniques: Statistical methods or qualitative analysis used to analyze the collected data.

The research methods section is key to assessing the validity and reliability of your research. Detailed information allows the reader to evaluate whether the method used is in accordance with the research objectives and whether the results are reliable.

 

  1. Results of Research and Discussion

The research results section answers the research questions asked. The discussion section explains the meaning of the results, why they are important, and how they contribute to the knowledge available. A good discussion will demonstrate your understanding of the research findings in a broader context.

 

  1. Acknowledgments of Thanks (optional)

This section is used to thank individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to research, but do not meet the criteria to become an author. This could include financial support, technical assistance, or valuable input. Thanking them is a way to give appreciation to those who have helped your research run smoothly. This section is optional and depends on whether or not there is a party to thank you.

 

  1. References

This section contains a list of all the sources cited in your article. Bibliographies should be organized according to  citation formats defined by a particular journal or writing style. JURNAL SULTAN: Riset Hukum Tata Negara using APA Style 7th edition in the citation in the reference section. Please use the Zotero and/or Mendeley reference manager app. All cited publications should be listed in the References section and arranged alphabetically.
