Author Guidelines
1. Focus and Scope
Manuscripts submitted to the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Counseling (IJIC) must focus on the field of Islamic Guidance and Counseling, covering topics such as Islamic counseling methods, spiritual guidance, mental health from Islamic perspectives, educational counseling, family therapy, and community counseling.

3. General Writing Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English in a clear and correct academic style.

The manuscript should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including abstract, tables, figures, and references.

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
4. Manuscript Format

Margins: 3 cm on all sides

Spacing: 1.5 line spacing

Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

5. Manuscript Structure
-
Title: Concise and informative, maximum 15 words.
-
Author(s) Name and Affiliation: Full name(s) without academic titles, institutional affiliation(s), and corresponding email address.

Abstract: A maximum of 250 words in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, summarizing the purpose, method, findings, and conclusion.

Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords.

Introduction: Presents background, research problems, and research objectives.

Literature Review: Reviews relevant theories, concepts, and previous research, and identifies the research gap.

Research Methodology: Describes the research approach, type of study, subjects, instruments, procedures, data collection, and analysis techniques.

Results and Discussion: Presents research findings clearly and discusses them in depth.

Conclusion and Recommendations: Summarizes the main findings, practical implications, and provides recommendations for future research.

References: A minimum of 80% of the references should be from primary sources (journal articles) published within the last 10 years.
6. Writing Style and References

All references and citations must follow the APA Style (7th Edition).

Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

7. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality and objectivity.
8. Copyright Policy

Copyright remains with the authors.

Articles will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
9. Publication Charges
Indonesian Journal of Islamic Counseling (IJIC) does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC).
