The management of Mendatte Park natural tourist attraction in Enrekang Regency faces challenges in optimizing its natural potential to become a leading tourist destination. This study aims to analyze the planning, determine the form of management implemented, and identify the constraints encountered in the operation of Mendatte Park. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation at the research location. The findings reveal that (1) management planning is still conducted simply, is based on community initiatives, and is not yet documented in formal records; (2) the area's tourism is operated on a participatory basis by the local community through the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) but lacks professional structuring; and (3) the primary constraints include limited infrastructure, insufficiently trained human resources, and minimal coordination with relevant district-level government agencies. Theoretically, this study contributes profound understanding to the body of literature regarding community-based destination management in the tourism sector. Furthermore, in terms of practical application, the findings serve as a key reference and consideration for the Enrekang Regency Government to optimize the management of its community-based natural tourist destinations.
