BUJUNG MAKKATOANGE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IN BARRU DISTRICT IN SUPPORTING SHARIA TOURISM

This study discusses the tourism development strategy in supporting Sharia tourism. The formulation of the problems in this study are (1) How is the tourism potential of Bujung Makkatoange in Barru Regency in supporting Sharia tourism? (2) How does the regional government of Barru Regency develop Bujung Makkatoange tourism in support of Sharia tourism? (3) What are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the development of Sharia tourism in Bujung Makkatoange, Barru Regency? This research is a type of qualitative research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data used in this study were obtained from primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation and will be analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The tourism potential of Bujung Makkatoange tourism is clear water and natural beauty. (2) The way the Barru Regency Tourism, Youth and Sports Service develops Bujung Makkatoange tourism in support of Sharia tourism, namely empowering the community, providing understanding related to Sharia tourism, and implementing rules according to the principles of Sharia tourism. (3) The supporting factors in the development of Sharia tourism in Bujung Makkatoange tourism are the availability of public facilities and government support, while the inhibiting factors are lack of funds, limited human resources, and inadequate supporting facilities.
