TOLOTANG HINDU COMMUNITY IN CULTURAL TOURISM PRESERVATION

This study discusses preserving culture. The purpose of this study is to determine the strategy of the Tolotang Hindu community in maintaining traditions or culture in the Towani Tolotang Hindu community in Amparita Village, Sidrap Regency.The type of research used is qualitative and uses primary and secondary data obtained by observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of this study focuses on how the Towani Tolotang Hindu community maintains its culture or customs in the present. The customs of the Towani Tolotang Community have several levels that are quite different from what is done by the Bugis community around it in general, such as in farming activities, death ceremonies, and in their worship rituals.This is what characterizes the Towani Tolotang community located in Amparita Village, Sidrap Regency. The Towani Tolotang Community in preserving its culture has various efforts made, one of which has the principle, namely 1) Tettong, which means standing, meaning being consistent in our stance, especially those related to the teachings of the beliefs that we adhere to. 2) Lempu, meaning straight, meaning trustworthy in both attitude and action that does not cause doubt to others and can also mean honest and responsible., 3) Tongeng, meaning true, meaning true in attitude and action, also means that humans always try to uphold the right things. 4) Temmangingngi, meaning never stop trying and being patient and also has the meaning of being steadfast and patient in carrying out positive activities. 5) Temmappasilaingeng, meaning fair without discrimination.
